Pilot Briefing Guidance

Pilot Briefing
The BGA expects that all BGA qualified glider pilots either self brief or seek a briefing prior to flying. Unqualified pilots should, of course, be briefed appropriately.
The level of risk varies considerably dependent on many factors including the pilots experience and currency. Other factors include fitness to fly, familiarity with equipment, understandingthe operating environment (including the weather) and being fully conversant with relevant airspace restrictions as well as being aware of other airspace users needs.
This page aims to provide pilots with guidance material - there is no intention to replace any existing national or BGA regulations and recommended practices. Feedback can be made to office@gliding.co.uk
