Signed………………………………………Surname…………….……………………………Date……………………… THE BGA GLIDER PILOT LICENCE The BGA glider pilot licence is designed to convey to all interested parties that the holder has met the requirements and standards necessary to be issued with a glider pilot licence. REQUIREMENTS The minimum requirement for issue of the BGA Glider Pilot Licence is; 1. Completion and issue to the applicant of the BGA Bronze Badge and BGA Cross Country Endorsement. Note: Where a non-UK glider pilot licence holder is applying for a BGA glider pilot licence, an ICAO compliant national Glider Pilot Licence meets the Bronze Badge and Cross Country Endorsement requirement. In this case the applicant must also provide a copy of the ICAO GPL and logbook evidence of 5 hours flying as P1 in nonpowered sailplanes in the 12 months prior to the application date. 2. A completed application form 3. A recent passport type photograph of the applicant with applicants name printed on the rear using a ball point pen. INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANT This completed form (together with copies of the supporting evidence required for non-UK glider pilots) and appropriate fee must be sent to the British Gliding Association.
