Motor Glider and Tug C of A/ARC renewal Motor gliders and Tugs with expiring ARC’s may renew using the existing BGA M3 network with a slightly revised BGA 202 form, available on the BGA web site very soon. After 5 January 2009 the ARC renewal will be using a CAMO. It is anticipated the BGA will have CAMO status towards the end of 2008. 2. New Gliders to the UK The process for imported gliders to obtain a UK C of A after 28/9/2008 is directly with the CAA. See CAA web site for details. This situation may change, please monitor the BGA web site. 3. Parts and Materials for gliders After transition to comply with Part 21 for the continued eligibility for an EASA C of A, all EASA gliders must be fitted with released parts and materials. Release can either be an EASA Form 1 for aircraft components or a Certificate of Conformity for Standard parts, optional equipment or materials. 1 TNS 4-2008 4. Transition after 28/9/2008 BGA Gliders registered with the BGA prior to 28/9/2008 may be transitioned at a later date. The process is exactly the same as previous transitions, however the BGA C of A cannot be renewed and the glider will go directly to EASA C of A and ARC. The glider may not be flown until the EASA C of A and ARC are issued.
